COMING IN APRIL

We are so pleased to announce that Charlotte Angotti will be at our guild for a lecture and workshop.

Lecture: Monday, April 21, 2014
Workshop: Tuesday, April 22, 2014

Meeting hours and location can be found on our website.

Quilters interested in Charlotte's workshop can contact Sarah Sorenson at: sarah6599@bellsouth.net with "workshop" in the subject line.  Additional information will be forwarded to you by our program/workshop coordinator.  The workshop will be open to non-members March 19 on a first come basis.  We have selected Charlotte's "Let Me Surprise You" workshop, where all participants receive a laser cut kit.  Come with your sewing machine plus general sewing supplies and get ready to sew.

The exact cost of the kit will be finalized in the next few days.  We expect the kit to be between $85 and $95 plus the class fee.  Member fee is $30.  Non-members slightly higher.

Below are quilts in prior "Let Me Surprise You" workshops.

Finally a class that you know you have brought the right things for! In this fun-filled class, a kit of CUT fabrics is furnished. This is a wonderful group workshop for those that just want to sew and not have any cutting or thinking to do.

This class is the most popular class Charlotte offers. It fills quickly and is a SURPRISE in more ways than one. It is a mystery type class. No one gets any hints and yet those who take the class will want to take another. Each class is a different quilt. Rarely are the kits repeated. All kits in class are the same, there is no choice for the students. A relaxed day of laughter and sewing.

Supply List
Bring a smile, a kind word, a happy face and you will enjoy the day much more! Cameras are welcome in all my classes. Show and tell of other projects done in my classes are always a treat. Basic supplies that make you happy during class are things you can bring. If you like a chair, bring it, but if you can't, then understand the one you get to use in class is one you didn't have to lug. This goes for lots of other things, too.

LECTURE

Why Aren't You Making More Quilts?
(I know you have the fabric)

Her lectures are humorous, light and yet full of information and real quilts. There are no slides or power point, lights are up and ideas are flowing. Many people can not attend classes, and lectures are a great way for them to get a view of what quilting is all about. Questions are always welcome during the lecture. Bring friends, cameras and be ready to laugh!
